Lost Trail Opens Dec. 2

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010

Lost Trail Powder Mountain is pleased to announce that opening day for the 2010/11 winter season will be Thursday, Dec. 2.

The Mountain will begin open for the season at 9:30 a.m. Thursday with Chairs 1 & 2 (Chair 5 is slated to open on Saturday).

Plenty of November snow has piled up at the Trail, so expect better-than average opening conditions and more lifts and trails opening soon! Be aware however that early-season conditions still exist in some areas. Keep checking for more opening day updates!

In the mean time, get your boards waxed, think about taking the season’s first Powder Thursday off of work and keep doing those snow dances!

Level 1 Eye Trip Official Trailer from Level 1 on Vimeo.

On Thursday, November 11th, everyone is invited to an outdoor celebration where they can catch the exploits of the world’s top skiers and snowboarders as they traverse the globe in search of the big terrain and perfect conditions that emerged last season. With EYE TRIP, Denver-based Level 1 Studios entertains us from the world of action sports cinematography, capturing the mind-blowing efforts of these athletes. Level 1 Studios is known for their talented filmmakers, photographers, and designers, trekking the globe to capture compelling images of the best skiing action ever recorded.

In addition to the movie, LTPark will be hosting an outdoor rail jam where local skiers and snowboarders will be showing off their skills and newest tricks in a custom rail park sure to keep everyone’s attention. Entry fee for the rail jam is $10 and gets you into the movie as well. The rockin Missoula band ‘Cellar Door’ also will be on site performing until the movie starts.

The event will be held at the Pharoahplex Theater in Hamilton on Thursday, November 11th. Gates for the event open at 6:00PM for this one-time-only movie showing, and parking is limited. Tickets are $6 per person and include access to all the entertainment. Hamburgers, soft drinks and more will be sold with proceeds benefiting your local volunteer ski patrol. Movie tickets will be drawn for door prizes. Raffle tickets will be sold for more prizes that include ski passes to Lost Trail Powder Mountain and name-brand snow-riding gear. Movie begins at 8:00PM. MOVIE SHOWING WILL BE OUTDOORS. DRESS APPROPRIATELY!

Proceeds from the event benefit the all-volunteer Lost Trail Ski Patrol. Ticket sales start Thursday, Nov. 11th at the Pharoahplex at 5:30PM. For more information, contact Paul Weese at 360-5292.
