Wednesday, Jan. 12, 12pm – A warm, wet storm front is moving into the Bitterroot Mountains and forecasts are predicting heavy snowfall in the higher elevations through Thursday evening. It’s currently snowing hard on Lost Trail Pass and shows little sign of letting up! Head up tomorrow for another great Powder Thursday!

The Lost Trail Snow Sports School still has openings available on the Lost Trail Slopestyle Team, part of our All Mountain Program.

Open to skiers and boarders, this freestyle program is designed to help riders refine their skills on both our mountain’s natural and terrain park features. Team members will also get a chance to showcase their skills at the Safety First Slopestyle Event at Lost Trail on Feb. 19.

Lost Trail Opens Dec. 2

Lost Trail Powder Mountain is pleased to announce that opening day for the 2010/11 winter season will be Thursday, Dec. 2.

The Mountain will begin open for the season at 9:30 a.m. Thursday with Chairs 1 & 2 (Chair 5 is slated to open on Saturday).

Plenty of November snow has piled up at the Trail, so expect better-than average opening conditions and more lifts and trails opening soon! Be aware however that early-season conditions still exist in some areas. Keep checking for more opening day updates!

In the mean time, get your boards waxed, think about taking the season’s first Powder Thursday off of work and keep doing those snow dances!

Nov. 20 – Ullr Fest at the Naughty Moose

Come ring in the winter and pray for snow this weekend at our annual pre-season Ullr Fest at the Naughty Moose Bar and Grill in Conner, MT. On Saturday, Nov. 20, we’ll have the bonfire rolling, the beers flowing and the Joan Zen Band rocking it out for all you snow-loving powder hounds. Get in the spirit by wearing your favorite alpine or Nordic garb. Dress like a skier … or a viking! Who cares, just have some fun to appease Ullr and bring more SNOW to our favorite ski hill! “Come Find Us” premieres in Missoula

Bozeman-based Toy Soldier Productions brings their debut film “Come Find Us” to the Wilma Theater in Missoula on Saturday, Nov. 5. We’ll be there, and we highly recommend that you work it into your busy schedule as well because everything about this film will blow you away. Seriously.
